The Literacy Alliance collaborates in the operation
of a Family Literacy program in which parents learn about their
important role as their child’s first teacher. Family Literacy
includes basic skills, English as a Second Language (ESL) or GED
instruction for parents, an education program for their children,
parent and child together time, and parent support. Each Family
Literacy site operates differently and program eligibility depends
on the participating partners at each site.
For information about Family Literacy, call The Literacy Alliance
at 260-426-7323, or contact the participating partner organization
at the phone number listed for the site. Translation services are
available for enrolling families who do not speak English.
Our Family Literacy sites are located
